Investment Analyst - Latest Release

This version of Analyst contains many improvements and enhancements that were made since the Spring of 2007. A new look has been given to many of the screens, making it easier navigate and select various options.

The Commercial Complete option has been greatly enhanced. New buttons and Dropdown Menus have been added. More than fifty new fields have been added (a total of 193 fields are now available). New fields include a Community field, a School District field, several single family fields (single family dwellings can now be stored), a Prior Sale Price field, new Assessment data fields - to name just a few. Typical Lease data for each property can now be stored, making it easy to keep track of and find Rent Comparables. Finding a property in the database has been made even easier and more comprehensive.

The newest features mentioned above are in addition to many new features that were added in December of 2006. Among these features is a redesigned Worksheet. Key numbers, a Summary Tab, and a Review Tab were added to give you a better picture of your analysis, all on one screen. Changes were made to the Property Data section, including improvements to the Comparison Grid. Minor changes to the Print Control Panel, Income Screen, and Expense Screen were also made. Some report formats were modified to permit better alignment on the page. We enhanced the Help system. Finally, "behind the scenes" improvements were made to allow Analyst to run even more smoothly.

Investment Analyst - Previous Versions

If you presently own a version of Investment Analyst that was released after March of 2002, we recommend that you download and install this latest version of Analyst, which also functions as a Maintenance Release. There is no charge for installing the new version, but the new features that are incorporated into this release will not be activated unless you purchased or upgraded Analyst in 2008 or have purchased the 2008 Subscription. You can purchase the latest Upgrade now. All program improvements and maintenance items are immediately active though.

Demonstration Mode

Until registered, this software will run in Evaluation mode for up to 30 days. The evaluation version of Investment Analyst is fully functional and will allow you to evaluate all of the many features of this Income Analysis software. While in Evaluation Mode you cannot save files or print customized analyses, but, you will be able to see exactly how easy our software is to use and how easy it is to produce quality analyses.

Miscellaneous

OLDER VERSIONS OF ANALYST (prior to May 14, 2008) were installed in the c:\program files\AnalystICC folder. The installation will default to this folder if you have AnalystICC installed. Starting with release number 15.01.06 on May 14, 2008, Analyst is installed by default in the C:\PROGRAM FILES\Financial Masterplan\Investment Analyst folder.

OLDER VERSIONS OF ANALYST (prior to November 2005) were installed in the c:\program files\AnalystCC folder. The installation will default to this folder if you have AnalystCC installed. Starting in November of 2005, Analyst is installed by default in the C:\PROGRAM FILES\AnalystICC folder.

Registering Analyst

• When installation is complete, an icon will be placed in your Start Menu Programs and on your Desktop.
• Double-click on the Investment Analyst icon to start Analyst.
• If you are downloading Analyst to run the Demo, click on the Demo Button. It is not necessary to register Analyst.

If you have purchased Investment Analyst

• Click on the Register Button.
• Click on Email
• Your default Email program will open with your ComputerID (we need this number) filled in. Tell us who you are and click the Send button.
• You can then exit Analyst. We will send Registration Information via Email as soon as possible. This can take up to 4 hours during the normal business day. On weekends and holidays you will receive your Registration Information on the next business day. Follow the instructions in the Email that we send to complete your installation.

• If the email function does not work automatically, send a short email to ID@dcfsoftware.com that contains the ComputerID that is displayed on the Registration Screen. Be sure to identify who you are so that we may look up your registration information.

To download Investment Analyst, click the link at the top of this page or the one immediately below this paragraph. After clicking on this link, a new window will appear. Select Run to install Analyst from the Internet, or Save to save the installation file to your hard drive. If Analyst is presently installed on your computer, there is no need to uninstall the old version. The installation program will detect your present version and replace it. Data that you have saved will not be lost. At some point during the installation process, you may see a message "Publisher Not Verified." Ignore this message and continue with the installation.
